Vickie Ciccolella

Vickie is a southerner, born in Columbus, Georgia, lived in Alabama during her childhood and now calls North Carolina her home. Vickie lived many years in Europe and while there she continued studying art and learning from the locals, then back to the United States doing more formal studies and workshops. She continues to travel all over the world, capturing the local color, and scenery. Her work captures the expressions and feelings of people having conversations, children playing, and people shopping in the local markets.  She uses vivid colors and bold settings in both watercolor and acrylic to portray a different outlook on ordinary events and places.  She now resides in Charlotte, North Carolina and belongs to several art groups.  She has studied with many nationally known artists learning different techniques and philosophies in art.  She is represented by the Blue Valley Gallery in Cashiers, NC and The Olde Town Gallery in Fayetteville, NC. Her work has been displayed in several one-person shows, NBC Studios, Founders Hall in the Bank of America Building, Manor Theater and an annual fundraising event for the Matthews Help Center.  You can also see her work at Sante restaurant in downtown Matthews, NC
