 "On Saturday, Oct 6th, from 1-5 pm, Beantowntown Tavern is hosting a "Picnic on the Patio" fundraiser in support of StandUp for Kids' new local Charlotte chapter and the Red Sox Division Series Champs!  Since 1990, StandUp for Kids is a national, non-profit, all-volunteer organization whose mission is to feed, support, engage and stabilize Charlotte's estimated 2,200 homeless children.  All proceeds from this fabulously fun event will go directly to supporting SUFK's Outreach Programs - which provides food and personal hygiene items to our local homeless youth.  To learn more about SUFK-Charlotte, or become a volunteer, please visit their website at www.standupforkids.org.
