Sharon Schwenk
began painting with oils in 1995 after a career in the field of
nutrition. In 1999 she traveled to Provence for a painting workshop
with Connie Winters.
 The
French workshops became an annual event and Sharon has returned to
Provence or the Dordogne region of France to paint every year since
1999. A California native, Sharon visits California at least once a year. The vineyards, Santa Barbara coastline, and the farmland of the San Joaquin are favorite painting subjects. In June of 2007 she visited Taos, New Mexico for a painting workshop and has been inspired by the beauty of the area.
