Harp IV by Anatoly Krasnyansky

The first work of Krasnyansky to enter my collection. Generally I detest cubist art. This artist however inspired me to go beyond my previous limitations and dislikes. The vibrant colors in his works fills me with an inner joy. Most of his works of this nature are also filled with an energy in its compositon. Expect hidden facets such as the many faces that are portrayed in this one.

Lady in Red by Alexander Borewko

This piece is actually not part of my collection...as yet. It is literally the piece that go away. It was the first Borewko that I ever bid on at auction. I let it go and later bought two other works that are in the same series. Now I wish I had gotten this one as well. The work has a central component, the red dress, from which the balance of the picture is hanging. We are immediately drawn in by the rich colors that contrast so well with its setting.

Lady in Waiting by Shane Somerset

Lady in Waiting is the first original work that I purchased from the b brown gallery. It was purchased during an exhibit for the artist Shane Somerset, who I believe is a very fast up and comer in the art scene. It now hangs just outside my bathroom. If only I could transform the real bathroom into the image depicted here.

Lady in Blue by Alexander Borewko

The first of two pieces of Borewko that I own. Here it is the blue dress with catches the eye. The positioning of the figure speaks of the feminine aspect with the curvature of the soulders, legs drawn up to form a "v" shape or vessel. The face is very nondescript and impersonal, a recurring theme in many of Borewko's works.

Musical Jesters by Anatoly Krasnyansky

Once again we have a cubist style work with vibrant colors, hidden components and musical instuments. Krasnyansky's works can sometimes appear to be repetitive with little differance between them. This piece however is unique enough to hang on my walls.

Sensual Moments by Alexander Borewko

Creative Path by Beso Kazaishvili

This abstract piece by Beso is what I consider to be his best work to date. The colors and imagery appeal to me and make my eye continue to gaze at the work long after I first hung it on a wall. I still find new things in this work that I had not previously seen.
