I vividly remember the awe I experienced as a young child the first time I saw KISS on a stage.  It was a televised event, not live but captivating all the same.  It was not until many years later that I was to see the incredible band live, it all its wonder.  Since that first time I have seen them on stage again and again, each time seemingly better the the one before.  I was a few mere feet away from Paul Stanley the last time.  The shows were complete eye candy from start to finish. 

Now years later I am once again captivated by Paul Stanley as he creates stunning visuals on canvas instead of stage. 

This work, his Self Portrait captures the essence of our beloved rock star.  Color and composition bring this work to life.  A truly stunning piece of work that any art lover should possess.  The exhibit hits Charlotte May 4th and 5th, 2007 at the Wentworth Gallery, South Park, Charlotte.
