2000 Palacio de la Vega Cabernet/Tempranillo Crianza Navarra |
|
|
Since 1991
Palacio de la Vega has stretched out over 300 Hectares
producing a wide variety of wines. Navarra, is a region of Spain
who's capital is Pamplona, the city famous for its festivals and for the
Running of the Bulls. This region which borders Spain's Rioja
was the en vogue marketplace for wine shopping by the UK until just
recently having fallen out of fashion. The wines of the region
however are just as robust and desirable now as ever. This
wine is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and
30% Tempranillo and is aged in
American and French oak
barrels for 12 months. It has a very intense flavor or blackberry
and black currants plum with a medium garnet color. The nose is of ripe fruit, and
plum. Medium-full body with soft tannins, mild acidity, and distinct
finish.
