I am very pleased to announce the selection of the new and permanent logo of DRIVEBYCRITIC.com.  A year ago when I began this little venture I and a general idea of what I wanted in a logo.  A sleek convertible in a bright color, a vague representation of a bald but dashing driver, and a waiter or server somewhere in the vicinity of the drivers door were all things I wished to incorporate into the logo.  The problem I faced is that I am not an artist.  Having an eye for art does not give ability and unfortunately I can not draw a straight line with a ruler.  By shear happenstance I met Kara Lineal of Karasdesignmojo.com at a wine tasting at Total Wine a few months ago.  I gave her a general idea of what I wanted in a logo along with the Paint shop cut and paste version I had been using and she came up with the rest. If you look at the picture in the upper left and compare it with the new logo her to the right you will agree that there is a huge improvement.

I have to tell you that I was exceedingly impressed by her ability to represent the ideas that I wished to convey in the logo.  I also had her design from scratch a logo for one of my other businesses.  America First Heating and Cooling.  She met with me, asked questions, made comments, offered suggestions, then sequestered herself wherever graphics people go to work....and reemerged with not one but 6 or more ideas.  She worked with myself and my partners to tweak and revise of of those ideas and eventually produced a wonderful and stunning logo for that company as well.  And amazingly, it was very, very affordable.

I would strongly suggest that anyone needing graphics work contact Kara and let her perform her little "design mojo" for you.  You will not be disappointed.
