This medium bodied Spanish red delivers soft tannins, with ample fruit. Highlights include strawberry, and black cherry, with a hint of spice. The nose is appealing and hints of oak and clove. \Bodegas Sobreno ages this fine red in American oak barrels for 7 months before bottle aging for another 6 months. The Tinta de Toro or Tempranillo Clone grapes are harvested from Sobreno's 80 hectare vineyard in the Toro region of Spain. Bodegas Sobreno was founded in the 1990's by a group of winemakers from Rioja. The first vintage was produced in 1998. |
