There was a very good harvest in 2004 for Vinci Italy, as
they enjoyed periods with warm days and cool nights. This produced a very
good grape with concentrated flavor. This Chianti is 85%
Sangiovese, 10%
Merlot, and 5%
Syrah.
100% of the wine underwent malo-lactic fermentation and a minimum of 15%
spent at east 6 months in new or used oak barrels. The perfumes are of
cherries and fresh fruit, the color is a deep red. The tannins are medium
to heavy and produce a nice complexity. I suggest filtering and decanting
for 2 hours before serving. Pairs very well with pastas with hearty meat
sauce. |
